Use Splytin honestly
Splytin helps real people record shared expenses. Use names, amounts, and settlement notes honestly so the group can understand what happened. Do not use Splytin to mislead someone, impersonate another person, or create records for unlawful activity.
Respect the people in the space
Shared expenses can be personal. Do not harass, threaten, bully, shame, or target another person. Do not use a shared space to send spam, unwanted promotions, or repeated messages that have nothing to do with the group’s shared money.
Local people are seats, not identities
A local person is a name added to a split so everyone can participate without an account. It is not permission to pretend to be that person, claim access to their account, or use their identity for another purpose. Add only the information your group needs.
Keep invites and links private
Invite links are intended for the people joining that shared space. Share them carefully, and do not publish someone else’s invite code without permission. The web join page is for opening the app; it does not show balances or expenses.

What happens next
We may review reports, ask for context, and take action needed to protect people and the service. We aim to be direct and fair. If a situation is urgent or involves immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service first.
