The short version

Your ledger works on the device. You choose when to create an account and when to share a group. We use the minimum account and group information needed to make collaboration work.

What stays on your device

People, groups, expenses, settlements, reminders, backups, and private settings can live locally so Splytin stays usable offline after you have opened it once.

What syncs when you have an account

The collaboration service stores your email address, display name, password hash, session records, optional group-visible profile photo, shared workspace details, shared ledger events, and announcements needed to deliver the service.

When you skip an account

Nothing is shared until you create one. You can still use the full ledger on that device.

Local people

Someone can sit in a split with a name (and optional phone) without installing the app. That seat is part of the group ledger, not a public profile.

Who can see shared things

Members of a shared group can see that group’s name, membership, shared ledger changes, and any profile photo you choose to make group-visible. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

Your choices

You can export your local data, sign out, remove local data from a device, and choose not to add a profile photo or donate. Signing out does not erase a local ledger. For account or shared-data requests, contact contact@trecsa.in from the account email so we can protect everyone in the group.
